3rd Annual Little Hoopsters Fall League

Who: Boys & Girls in Grades 1-2.

When: Tuesday nights from September 10 to October 8 from 6 – 7 pm.

Where: Cornerstone Church outdoor courts, Warwick, RI.

*This is a recreational and developmental league. Register as an individual and we will place on a team.  Request a head coach under notes section of registration and we will do our best to accommodate.

 

 

  • Individual Registration ($120 per player, includes a dri-FIT shirt). Please indicate skill level in registration process.
  • Players will be placed on a team (coed-division) based on their skill level (recreational or travel level).
  • The league starts on Tuesday September 10 and concludes on October 8.
  • The rain night Thursday evening of the same week.
  • 1 game per week, 4 week regular season and playoffs are on the week 5.
  • This league is focused on skill development and teaching the rules of youth basketball on an 8 foot hoop.
  • Each game week consists of a 5 minute warm up, 15 minute skills practice directed by a head coach followed by a 24 minute game. The goal of this league is to develop skills, learn the game in a moderately competitive setting.
  • Outdoor court location in Warwick, Rhode Island at Cornerstone Church.

HEAD COACH:
Jim Garcia: Chairman of the Advisory Board for Warwick Youth Basketball. Currently, Jim will be the Business teacher at Bishop Hendricken High School in the fall, the Warwick Veterans Middle School Head Girls Basketball Coach, and has won multiple travel basketball state championships over the last few seasons with this boys and girls teams. He is also a former Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Warwick Veterans High School.
