Curriculum

Welcome to the Girls Elite Basketball Camp 2025 in Wakefield, RI, where experienced players in rising grades 3-9 come together to elevate their skills in a competitive environment against other talented girls from across the State of Rhode Island. Led by experienced adult coaches with decades of basketball playing and coaching experience, our camp focuses on teaching advanced basketball concepts to take players’ skills to the next level.

Offense

  • Screening Techniques: Players will learn how to set and use screens effectively against man-to-man defenses to create scoring opportunities for themselves and their teammates.
  • Transition Offense: Our camp emphasizes the execution of secondary breaks and fast break strategies to capitalize on scoring opportunities in transition.
  • Advanced Finishing Moves: Players will be taught advanced finishing moves and shots to score efficiently in traffic and against tough defense.
  • Rebounding Skills: Offensive rebounding techniques will be covered to help players secure additional scoring opportunities for their team.

Defense

  • Screen Defense: Players will learn how to defend various screens, including ball screens, back screens, and down screens, to disrupt opponents’ offensive plays.
  • Help Defense: Concepts of “help the helper” will be taught to players to support teammates and defend against scoring threats effectively.
  • Closeouts and Contesting Shots: Players will develop skills in closing out on shooters and contesting shots to reduce opponents’ shooting efficiency.
  • Rebounding Fundamentals: Defensive rebounding and boxing out techniques will be emphasized to limit opponents’ second-chance scoring opportunities.

In addition to advanced individual skills such as ball handling, passing under pressure, and shooting on the move, players will have the opportunity to compete in competitive games of 1 on 1, 3 on 3, and 5 on 5. Our camp provides a challenging and supportive environment for players to refine their skills, compete at a high level, and take their game to new heights. Join us for an unforgettable summer of elite-level basketball development!
