LITTLE HOOPSTERS SKILLS CLINIC – MARCH MADNESS

Welcome to the March Madness Little Hoopsters Skills Clinic for Grades K-2! This fun, 4-week skills and drills program is designed for boys and girls who want to practice basketball fundamentals while having a great time.

Program Overview

  • Who: Boys & Girls in Grades K-2
  • What:
    • A 4-week program focusing on basketball basics on 8.5 foot hoops.
    • Skill-based sessions covering individual ball-handling moves, proper shooting form, dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense.
  • When: Fridays, March 7, 14, 21, 28 from 6:15 – 7:15 pm.
  • Where: Boys & Girls Club of Warwick, Oakland Beach
  • Cost: $140

Additional Information

  • Volunteer Opportunity: We are seeking team parents to assist the program director during sessions. Limited coaching experience is necessary, just a willingness to help organize the players. Email Coach Simonelli if you are interested.

About Coach Eric Simonelli

  • Commissioner of the Warwick PAL Warriors youth travel basketball program in Warwick, Rhode Island (RI) for boys and girls in grades K-8
  • President of Higher Learning Basketball
  • DIII All-American and was inducted into Endicott College Hall of Fame, Class of 2007
  • Attended Duxbury High School in Massachusetts – scored 1,200 career points and was a Patriot Ledger, Boston Herald, and Boston Globe All-Scholastic Player
  • Former State Championship Head Varsity Basketball Coach at La Salle Academy, where he compiled a 96-21 Division 1 record and a 135-49 overall record over seven seasons – Simonelli’s team was the Division 1 Champion in 2014 and 2015, the RI Open State Champion in 2015, and the RI Open State Runner-Up in 2016.
  • Former Prout School to the Division III State Championship in 2011 and 2012 and Division III Runner-Up in 2007
  •  Head Coach for 3rd grade girls and 7th grade boys in the Warwick (PAL) Warriors travel program
