COVID-19 SUMMER 2020 POLICY, Warwick, RI

  • All summer guidelines for camps/clinics/workouts are found on reopeningri.com.
  • Coaches will wear masks only if they get closer than 6 feet from participants. Participants DO NOT have to wear masks but MUST bring their own water bottle and basketball to a workout.
  • There are two types of workouts: 14 participants per court with 1 coach (pods of 15) or two pods (up to 9 participants at each basket) with 1 coach. If each basket has their own pod, they will be 14 feet from one another.
  • Participants will be placed in age/grade appropriate groups. If we are unable to accommodate, parents will be notified prior to the start of the first workout.
  • Once registration fills up for Session I and small groups are established, there cannot be any changes until the start of Session II. Session II will follow the same process as Session I when establishing pods.
  • Each day participants and coaches MUST take their temperature at home prior to attending each workout.
  • Any participant or coach who has a temperature of 100.4 or higher, has a cough, sore throat, and change in taste, or has difficulty breathing CANNOT attend a workout.
  • Any participant or coach who tests positive for COVID-19 (during a scheduled session), the entire pod/small group will be shut down for a minimum of 14 days.
  • If the pod/small group is unable to complete a session due a positive COVID-19 test, they will receive a credit towards a future workout/clinic or a pro-rated refund.
  • Any participant or coach who exhibits any signs/symptoms of COVID-19 during a workout will be isolated and a parent/caregiver will be required to pick them up.
  • Parent/caregiver should drop off and pick up their child or watch the workout from their car.
  • At the end of the workout, all participants should immediately exit the court to allow for the next group to come into the court. The group waiting must remain outside the court until all participants have exited.
