Youth Travel Basketball League Details

Rising Grades 4th-8th League

  • Teams must be members of RIYBA or have played the Metrowest Youth travel Basketball League during the 2022-23 winter season. Advanced 3rd graders can play in the 4th grade division.
  • Individual registration is $90 per player.
  • Each player must register as an individual and choose their town/city team in the drop down menu (8 player minimum).
  • No free agents registrations unless approved by the league commissioner.
  • 1 game per week (format of 4 eight minute quarters with the last two minutes of each half stopped time).
  • 7 total guaranteed games and 1 pre-season scrimmage (6 regular season and 1 playoff game).1-3 playoffs games in a single elimination format (up to 10 total games).
  • Boys and Girls Divisions set up by league commissioner by age/grade/ability (A or B levels if applicable).
  • Single age/grade groups (i.e. 5th grade division will be separate from the 6th grade).
  • Games are played Monday nights. Pre-season scrimmage on June 12th (optional). The league officially starts Monday June 19th and concludes July 31st (no games 4th of July week). Playoffs are the week of August 7th.
  • Outdoor court locations are in the Warwick, Narragansett, and North Kingstown.
  • The rain night is Wednesday nights.

Little Hoopsters League & Skills Workout 

Boys & Girls Rising Grades 2 – 3

  • Individual Registration ($200 per player, includes a t-shirt) and open to free agents (please indicate skill level in registration process). Each session is 75 minutes (40 minute skills practice and 32 minute game). The goal of this league is to develop skills, learn the game in a moderately competitive setting. This division is focused on skill development and teaching the rules of youth basketball.
  • Boys and Girls divisions. Coaches can form their own team or participants can register as a free agent and will be placed on a team.
  • Free agents will be drafted by a coach or selected to a team by league commissioner.
  • 8 player roster minimum.
  • 1 game per week for 7 weeks (format of two 16 minute halves).
  • 7 total guaranteed games
  • Games are played Monday nights. The league officially starts Monday June 19th and concludes July 31st (no games 4th of July week). Playoffs are the week of August 7th.
  • Court locations are in North Kingstown and Warwick, Rhode Island.
  • The rain night is Wednesday night.
